Participation & Cost
One of the major challenges facing high performance sports is the cost of participation - and this is particularly acute for smaller/growing programs such as girls baseball for 2 key reasons. Larger programs are able to allocate revenue from grass roots and recreational levels to reduce the costs of the travel teams. Additionally, in sports with large participation numbers, families who can't afford program costs are easily replaced with another capable player.

Yolo already does what it can to limit the financial impact on players and families - it is managed by volunteers (other than coaching) and programs are priced on a cost-recovery basis. The organization is also in the process of formally structuring as a non-profit society.
We are therefore hugely grateful to those companies that provide additional financial support to our mission of developing and promoting girls baseball players and women baseball coaches.
