Arizona 2025 Program

Leighton Accardo Tournament

Yolo will be travelling to Chandler, AZ for the 2025 Leighton Accardo Invitational Tournament. The event takes place December 4-7.  Yolo will be taking teams at 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U/18U ages, with the possibility of having 2 teams at one or two of those age groups depending on interest and ability. Note: US age cutoff is April 30; eg: a player who turns 13 in June 2025 can play 12U for any US tournaments in 2025 calendar year.

Out of Province Players:

Please register here and you'll be provided instructions on submitting a video of you performing a series of specific skills. Note that video submissions must be received by Friday September 12.

Pre-Tournament Practices & Development Sessions

Optional pre-tournament practice sessions will take place in Vancouver. These will be October 11 and November 8.

​

In addition, 10U and 12U teams will have the option to participate in a 4 week development series. These will be at the UBC indoor baseball centre on Sep 22, Sep 29, Oct 6 and Oct 20 on Mondays from 8pm-930pm.  Details and registration are here. DO NOT REGISTER UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO THE TEAM.

Fees & Travel

The tournament will be longer than in prior years with 3 game round-robin on Fri/Sat and playoffs on Sunday. Players will travel to Phoenix on Wed, Dec 3, with on-field practice in Chandler, AZ on Thursday Dec 4 and the tournament social that evening. Departures should be scheduled for Monday Dec 8.

 

Team fees are $515 per player. This does not include player travel, hotel or food costs. All players must travel and stay with a parent/adult including transportation to/from games. Coaches will be responsible for the players at practices, games and team events but will not oversee the team at the hotel or in transit. Yolo has a negotiated hotel rate that is $129/night (USD).

Uniforms

Returning players will be able to re-use their uniforms from 2024 and can purchase individual items that need replacement. Additional uniform elements may also be introduced. New players to Yolo will buy a uniform bundle that will be $135 ($180 for 14U as they will have both black and white jerseys).
