Travel Team Coaches

Alex Sy
Alex is a member of the Philippine Women's National Baseball team and recently competed in the BFA III Women's Baseball Asian Cup 2023. She also plays baseball for Team BC Women's and 21U.

​Alex also has 9 years of softball experience, playing at the Rep A level including a silver medal at the 2023 U19 Provincial Championship.

Ashley Stewart
Ashley is an NCCP certified baseball coach and former player. Ashley was part of the provincial girls program at its beginning, winning Western Canadians at 13U (2001) and silver at National Championships at 16U (2004).
Ashley has organized and led girls grassroots baseball camps in the Okanagan and has been an assistant coach for Team BC 14U from 2023 through 2025 at the Western Canadians.

Braidy Birdsall
Braidy is an NCCP-certified baseball coach and was drafted to the WPBL. She has represented Team Saskatchewan at the 14U and 16U levels and continues to compete in both the 19U and Women’s division. She currently trains with Laurentian University’s Voyageurs program and is recognized as one of Canada’s Top 40 female baseball players.

Braidy coaches with Inside Pitch Saskatoon and supports Team Saskatchewan’s 16U program. She is also a nationally certified umpire and was awarded a scholarship to the Wendelstedt School for MLB Umpires.

Cheyenne Simicak
Cheyenne has played baseball for 15 years and has represented Team BC from 14U through 21U where she won a championship in 2023. She also plays softball at UBC Okanagan, contributing a record breaking 14 homeruns as part of a national title season.

Cheyenne's love for coaching and passion for the sport is driven by her goal to make sure her athletes have the most fun and compete to the best of their abilities.

Claire Keough
Claire has years of experience playing and coaching with Team PEI. Beginning at age 12 as a member of PEI's first girls' team, winning gold at the 14U Girls Atlantic Championships, she later returned as an assistant coach for the 14U team while still in her teens.

In addition to baseball, Claire was been a high performance hockey referee. She is pursuing a kinesiology degree at UPEI with goal of working in Strength & Conditioning in the MLB.

Juliette Kladko
Juliette is a long-time member of Team British Columbia, winning championships at every age category. She has also represented Team Canada and was select in the inaugural WPBL draft.

She is NCCP-certified and has coached at both grassroots and high-performance levels for over five years. ​Juliette was an AC for Team BC 14U and in 2025 became the Head Coach, leading the team to GOLD!

She is deeply passionate about growing girls’ baseball and developing confident, skilled athletes through coaching.

Keegan Wong
Keegan played with Team BC for five years, winning gold in both the 14U and 16U divisions. Following that she was a member of the Women’s Team Canada Prospect camp.
Keegan has strong coaching experience with girls’ teams, helping lead skill-development clinics and fundamental training sessions.

Kristy Watson
Kristy is an experienced baseball coach, holding NCCP certification as well as being an NCCP coach facilitator and evaluator. She has coached at the grassroots/community level, Provincial high performance level and was most recently named as an Assistant Coach to the Women's National Team.
Kristy is also a full time high school teacher (with past elementary experience) and has run her own personal training business for over 20 years.

She is a tireless advocate for girls and women at all levels of baseball.

Melissa Meacham
Melissa is a Provincial team coach with Baseball Sask's 14U and 16U girls teams, participating in the 2025 Canada Summer Games. In 2019, she was awarded the Baseball Sask Grass Roots Coach of the Year award.

She is NCCP 16+ certified and attend the American Baseball Coaches Association conference in 2020.

She played collegiate basketball for York University.

Michelle Roche
Michelle plays baseball for the University of British Columbia and is a current Canadian National Team member. She signed to the WPBL LA team in 2025 and was a second round draft pick.
Michelle played 5 years in the PBL for the Whalley Chiefs winning top pitcher and MVP her Junior year. She has also been a part of the provincial team program since she was 10 years old and has played on the BC women's team since she was 16.

Rachel Tam
Rachel currently plays for the BC Badgers and has played for Team BC winning titles at all age levels (14U Westerns 2015, 2017; 16U Nationals 2019; 21U Nationals 2024).

Rachel has helped coach at the 14U and 16U provincial ID camps & tryouts and was an assistant coach for the 14U Provincial Team in 2025. She's also coached at Baseball BC's grass roots camps throughout the lower mainland.​

Vanessa McKinley
Vanessa currently plays for Concordia University in Montreal as one of a handful of women to play university/college baseball in Canada. In her youth, she played for team BC, including wins at the National Championships at 16U (2019) and Western Canadians at 14U (2018).
Vanessa was an assistant coach in Team BC 14U's silver medal at the 2023 Western Canadians.
