Girls Travel Team
Yolo Baseball is BC's first girls travel team
Led by an experienced group of all-women coaches, the purpose of Yolo Travel Team is to provide competitive opportunities for girls, beyond the annual provincial team program, to participate in all-girls baseball tournaments. This team, combined with the many grassroots efforts underway, will contribute to the establishment of girls baseball leagues everywhere.
2024 Travel Team Program
Tryouts
BC Tryouts will take place at Latrace Field at Minoru Park in Richmond. Please arrive 30 minutes early to check-in.
For those outside of BC, we have 2 options. We are holding a tryout in Saskatoon, with the specific location TBD. Additionally for those outside of BC/SK, we will facilitate a virtual tryout.

Tournament
The team will travel to Phoenix, AZ in early December for the 4th Annual Leighton Accardo Invitational.

Tournament: Dec 6-8, Chandler, AZ
At the tournament, team will practice on Friday, with 3-4 games Sat/Sun.
Fees & Travel
Team fees expected to be approximately $500 plus $150 for uniforms (not including flights, hotel).
All players must travel and stay with a parent/adult including transportation to/from games. Coaches will be responsible for the players at practices, games and team events but will not oversee the team at the hotel or in transit.
Age Groups
Depending on the number of players assessed, we aim to have teams at 4 age groups: 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U. As a US tournaments, the age determined as of May 1, 2024 (eg - a 2011-born player who turns 13 in June 2024 can play 12U at this tournament).
2025 & Future Travel Team Program
Tournaments
The team will typically travel to 2 or more tournaments per year, depending on the schedule and location. Additionally, we aim to host a tournament in Metro Vancouver. Tournaments that we would travel to could include:
