Women Coaching Clinic
Yolo Baseball is proud to offer a women-only coaching clinic aimed at beginner coaches at the Little League age levels.

The session will focus on fundamental skills (throwing, catching, hitting, running bases) through fun, engaging drills in a supportive environment. Content will be drawn from NCCP courses and will emphasize education, confidence, safety, a player-focused coaching model and making the game enjoyable for young athletes. Key elements involve keeping kids active, involving parents and building confidence through small successes.

The clinic will be led by Yolo General Manager Kristy Watson, who is also an NCCP Coach Learning Facilitator and Coach Evaluator. Kristy delivers the course through her unique blend of experience as a coach, coach instructor, teacher, as a woman in a man-dominated sport and from her years-long work at creating opportunities for girls and women in baseball.
A strongly recommended pre-requisite for the clinic is to attend the Rules of the Game classroom session (for girls & women training to be umpires), led by Samantha Chapman of the BC Baseball Umpires Association.

Participants will receive coaching resources, practice plans and a discount code for the new Launch Baseball coaching content app.
